Write Your Life

Posted on by Karen Cioffi
It's your life.

“Every day is a permanent page of your life’s story that cannot be edited, live it well.” ~ Rebecca Murtagh

I just happened upon this quote and it struck home.

As a children’s ghostwriter and author, I create stories. I dictate how the characters behave – their thoughts, their actions. I dictate how the story unfolds, the path/s it takes. And, I create the ending.

Granted all this must be done within the standard publishing guidelines. And if I’m working with a client, I must take their vision into account, but aside from this, I’m in control.

How many of us do this with our own lives?

With writing, you can edit, revise, even scrap the entire draft and start over.

This isn’t true with your life.

The choice you make this very minute could affect the rest of your life.

The habits you develop on a daily basis will create a healthy or unhealthy you. Those habits will create a happy or unhappy you. They can give you flight or they can hold you down.

The good news is that while you can’t rewrite how you’ve lived your life to this point, you can start a new page today.

  • Will your breakfast be a danish or a bowl of oatmeal?
  • Will you watch TV for hours or will you take a walk?
  • Will you ‘social media’ or ‘app’ your hours away, or will you visit friends or actually talk to them on the phone?
  • Will you procrastinate about something you’ve been wanting to do or will you act upon it?

This list could go on and on, but you get the idea.

I’m going to try to think about my life as if I’m writing the rest of the story.

Will you join me?

SCAM ALERT

There are ghosting sites that are stealing the profiles of reputable ghostwriters and putting them on their sites. MY SERVICES ARE ONLY OFFERED HERE. If you see my profile on another site stating I work for them, they’re scammers.
