So, you’ve written a children’s book. But you know it’s in no condition to submit to publishers or agents, or even self-publish. What do you do?

Simple: You hire a rewriter.

Rewriting is story doctoring. It covers everything.

A rewriter will spin your draft or manuscript into a readable, engaging, and publishable book.

As with ghostwriting, there are lots of factors taken into account in order to quote a price. It depends on the genre, the condition of the manuscript, the word count, and if any research is needed.

PRICING:

To give you an idea, picture book manuscripts start at $545 for under 1000 words. If a lot of work is involved the fee starts at $745. If major rewriting is involved, the fee starts at $995 and may fall into the ghostwriting realm. (It also will depend on the actual word count.)

Chapter book manuscripts start at $0.15 per word with a minimum of 5,000 words (up to 15,000 words) with a usable draft.

Middle grade manuscripts start at $0.20 per word with a usable draft.

Again, the fee is based on the condition of your manuscript and the amount of review and/or research involved. I will need to see your story in order to give a quote.

PLEASE NOTE:
– Manuscripts that are in very poor condition or need extensive rewriting may be considered ghostwriting.
– The fee may be higher for specialty books, such as rhyming, fantasy, mystery, educational, and therapy.
– The fee may be higher to rewrite a story to a different age group.
– Manuscripts that need excessive cutting may warrant an additional fee.
– All fees quoted do not include payment fees incurred from payment processing services, such as PayPal.

Also, please be aware that all quoted fees are valid for only 14 days.
